According to Sheriff Bob Alford, three drill bits valued at approximately $40,000 were recovered after a lengthy investigation, and a 20-year-old imprisoned Joshua man has been linked to the thefts.

On Feb. 12, 2008 the Johnson County Sheriffs Office was contacted by the U.S. Marshal’s office, that Michelle Renee Thompson was taken into custody in Niagara Falls, New York.

We are very pleased that Johnson County Sheriff’s Office has just been awarded a grant for an additional investigator for environmental crimes. Since 2002, we have had only one investigator assigned to this area of focus.

Another school year is upon us. While parents and students prepare for that first day back, our School Resource Officers (SROs) look forward to serving on school campuses across the county. The Johnson County Sheriff's Office just received a grant to place an officer at Keene ISD. To date the Sheriffs Office has 6 of the 9 ISD's in Johnson County.
